It was interesting to note the perspective?of the looters themselves, who are not as concerned?about being buried alive – as indeed, some already have been – but rather from being attacked by the ‘jin’ (spirits) still guarding the ancient treasures.<\/p>\n
The current musing is?that educating the looters as to the value of these antiquities (to Egypt and also?to humanity),?would change their decision to take such risks in pursuit of profit.? However from my humble perspective that argument has rarely held sway when the elements of hunger and poverty?are in play.<\/p>\n
